Counted points & scored points
The Points chart uses credited championship totals. Historical best-results rules can make that total lower than the sum of race points. Sprint points are included. Focus a driver and hover a round for raw race/sprint points. Δ PTS is the change in the credited total, including any recorded adjustments.
Unknown ranks & team changes
A missing rank stays unknown. Drivers with no published standing and zero points confirmed by race results can appear at zero on the Points chart after their first entry; they are not given invented positions. Colours stay consistent within a season and use the driver’s latest recorded car. Different line patterns distinguish cars sharing a constructor colour.
Historical exceptions
Known source disagreements are flagged on the relevant season. The original and replacement 2018 Force India entries stay separate. Final exclusions can differ from a round snapshot; the final/current classification is available below the graph. Constructor championships begin in 1958.
Licence & attribution
Data: F1DB, licensed under CC BY 4.0. RaceGraphs groups the records, joins display names, derives point changes, separates 2018 entries, and normalises three documented calendar dates. Championship point values and ranks are not overridden. See the full attribution and methodology.
